Not all that - case - Texas
The product information states this burner produces 225,000 BTUs. This is incorrect. When I received the product, I find the box claims that it produces only 110,000. Now, 100 K BTUs isn't anything to sneeze at, but I can find 100,000 BTU burners for less. I thought I was paying extra for more power. Sending it back.

Portable Kitchen PK 99740 Cast Aluminum

The Portable Kitchen is simply the best and most versatile charcoal grill ever built. It is a great smoker; it is great for steaks, chops, burgers, dogs, etc. You can cook anything on it you can cook in the kitchen. It will even bake breads and pizza. I inherited mine from my dad, who bought it when I was in my teens (I am now in my 50's). I have burned up the grill and the charcoal grate, but the PK is still in use and doing well. It is at least 40 years old and going strong. I was not able to find replacements for the grill and grate so I repaired mine using expanded metal from the hardware store. For a while the PK was not available. It is grand to see that it is back in production and readily available. The grill and grate are also available for those of you who have burned up yours.

Poorly Made In China - Brian -
This Bayou Classic cast iron bacon press is made in china and is very low quality. The paraffin wax coating is very difficult to remove. The handle is NOT stainless steel like the product features says, the handle is chrome plated and flakes off easily. This bacon press is very rough, poorly made junk.

An amazing little grill. With 8 charcoal briquettes, I cooked a couple of salmon-burgers on it for lunch, then put on two Cornish Game hens, put on the cover, let them bake for an hour, and had them later for dinner. NOTE: DON'T PEAK under the lid when using this grill as an oven. The heat escapes and it takes awhile to build it back up. Instead, use your nose & ears.

An excellent little grill for camping, picnics, and emergencies. Since it uses so little fuel, you can do a great deal of cooking with a single bag of charcoal. Don't use lighter fluid, use a small "starter stick" to start the coals.

We place a paper towel in first, then the bacon, and place a second paper towel on top of the bacon: two minutes later...voila! We found that we can microwave 10 pieces of pre-cooked bacon in 2 minutes (we like crisp bacon) without problems. So far we've only used the Kirkland brand pre-cooked bacon with this cooker (from [...]) and we've been happy with the results/texture/taste.

Not nearly large enough!!! I had one that was about 14'' by 12'' and it was perfect, lasted over 30 years. I was hoping this was the same but I didn't read the fine print. I will keep looking.

Out of all (15?) units shown on the Amazon website, I have the most confidence in this unit because it is sturdy, large, but not hard to handle, and it cleans up well in the dishwasher.

What can I say. It works. It does what it is supposed to do. The bacon cooks crispy in the microwave and I don't have a greasy mess on my stove top.
